I also agree lets keep it GM only..... Not only are we there to compete with each other but also to meet/greet and check out other late model GM EFI cars.... If we let the mustangs in we start getting brand hatred, everyone and their grandma with a 5.0 with rims and mufflers wanting to race...
I like the mustang guys. don't get me wrong... HOWEVER it is going to severely complicate putting this thing together.... Buick guys yes, as long as they are not backhalf, lexan, fiberglass bodied drag cars.....
It's going to be tough however to completely outlaw LS swaps. If we let in RX7's and the like with LS swaps how are we going to say that stangs with LS swaps are not allowed???? Gonna be a slippery slope.... I've got almost the complete contact list completed that will go out hopefully tonight by email as long as I have all the contacts done.... and i'm going to invite camscam to be one of the reps as well since he's sac based and runs his own board in sacramento....
Once the board gets togther we'll discuss hybrids and their legality in the shootout....

Last i spoke with Jason (Outlaw Z) he was still pretty busy.
I sent an email to the track to check price. They have openings on March 28-29 or April 11-12
Will keep ya posted. If this is going to happen the ball need to get rolling and fast.

I did not think that this would interfere with LA Invasion because it would have to be limited to so few cars from each region and it would still be 1 1/2 months out.
Also LVCFO does the Vegas one on Labor day. I am trying to talk them into pushing it back to Nov to coincide with SEMA. That way the temp would be cooler and we could ask sponsors each for a pass or two and then the first X number to sign up would get them. Likely the track (LV Speedway/The Strip) would be free that weekend as well, but I have not checked.
