never used a rail system? but this is the first plastic fender iv'e done one on.

once you decide where to mount your bottom plates, install them and then set the hood on the car. mark the sides of the hood to clearence for the brackets so it sits flush to the bottom of the hood. then set the hood back on and make sure it sits right where you want it?

next step is to measure the distance from the fender to the center of the bottom brackets hole, on all of them. they should be pretty close? then put the hood back on and use your measurements to mark the center of your holes on the hood. put a piece of tape over each spot before you drill and it will help to keep it from couging the edges.

once all the holes are drilled, put the hood back on and set the zues clips in the holes and make sure they all clip in, you might have to trim a little to get them perfect? once there fit perfect, rivit them in!

use steel rivits also, iv'e had the aluminum ones pull out at the top end of the track! you can also use a hammer and dolly to smash down the bottom of the rivit to give it more bite on the fiberglass hood.

good luck.

was that the sunoco hood?

just ordered the sunoco hood that goes all the way to the windsheild.

i also have the aftermarket fenders and bumper, i was really impressed with the fit on them.

ignore the hood! just setting on there because there is no more garage space.
