I will say this again. My company is always hiring and we are not laying people off. The company is call ABB inc. We do Turbochargers for cruise liners, Merchant ships etc. You must have some mechanical experience and know how to use special tools ie... Micrometers, calipers etc. We are located in Carson, Ca and we have shops in Houston, Seattle, Tacoma, New Jersey and in 110 other countries. We travel often and get paid well for that. It is a great company to work for. Altough I have only been here since May but I got this job right out of the military. If you are interested PM me and I can get you an App

Good Luck to all of you JOB hunters out there. I know that it is tough.

I am saying this not to be mean but just because. If you are hard up for work then what does it matter? I would say get something like that and get a part time at night. I am looking into a part time at night cause I like money.

I'm not hard up for a job, just looking at a possible upgrade, because I also like money

Plus, I would like to work in that industry, but it would not be beneficial to me to take a pay cut to do it

Think of it as a stepping stone to something better. Many of these companies have programs to allow you to go into nursing. I know, "nursing" for girls, right? Wrong, pay is in excess of $30/hr. and imagine being a man in a female dominated profession? Yes, that's a benefit.

$30/hr is in excess of $60k/yr., plus oftentimes you will get a signing bonus and retention bonuses. Since you work 3 12hr shifts, you can moonlight elsewhere and make in excess of $100k. And you're in such high demand, it's very unlikely you'll be out of a job during an economic downturn such as this. Still think it's for girls?

I'll post more after the games.

ive thought about the medical field for years.....didnt realize it paid THAT well....i was thinkin more xray tech myself.....thinkin bout gettin outta the speed shop possbily..gettin burnt the **** out
