How many of those had those carbon fiber spoilers front and rear? I've only seen one with those spoilers locally and I could swear it was something the owner had put on after he ordered it.
They're supposed to have supercharged Honda engines, but I've seen a couple here with Ecotecs. Pretty sure it'd put several car lengths on you from a dig.

The Lotus looks nice, but is overrated (Exige & Elise, especially the Elise). If you get one on anything except the twisties, you should smoke it (I have).
As for the Atom, I wouldn't even try it, unless you had a LONG stretch of open road. Maybe you'd get th guy to puss-out above 140mph, since it doesn't have much to protect the driver from the elements, maybe... (doubt it)
I see a guy in an A-wing'd out Del Sol on my way to work often. I need to snap some pix of "Obi-Wan".

the black one is the Ariel Atom...used to be ecotec 4s until last year when they went with the honda 4s w/ vtec (K20 motor)...it weigs in at 1400lbs, sports a 6spd...245hp NA, 300hp SC...and whoever thinks it has a chance with it on a slighty modified fbody is insane...dig or roll that thing will eat you.
The special edition one has a 2.4L SC V8 pushing out 500+hp...that one doesnt **** around
