You have to get it signed off by a state ref. I bet my camaro that people in your community contacted your local pd to have them wait for you. I had some neighbors by my parents do the same thing to me and my neighbor with a black stang and a bike cop was chilling by the gas station waiting for me and my buddy in the black mustang.

i think your choices depend on what county your in.. one of my friends got a state ref last month in ventura county, im pretty sure he was given a choice of just paying the fine, another one of my friends got one in ontario ( san bernardino county) .. not sure what his choices are
but i found out the state ref is actually at my school in the autoshop dept. ... i drive by with my car rev'd up every morning passing them

well since they passed the budget, then ur screwed...i dont know how much it is..but i know it aint cheap...Umm..i dont know how to get around that one..I have a carb sticker for my fiipak..but im not sure if they will cross reference that....

you know what would be fun, get some edelbrock shorties and start stamping the carb id from those onto Long tubes... the cop can't check it and if they ask for a carb id you say look it is stamped into the part like it is supposed to be, they say ok, close the hood and bob's your uncle.

rather pay the fine and get it over with then get into a potential fraud case with the state...
