Ive done that route before and It's hell trying to make it on the miniscule amounts you recieve. Working and going to school usually can work if the job doesnt wear you out.

One option I havent considered yet is a student loan, Id rather not start racking up major debt this low on the college scale, I only have 42 units completed.

hey james sorry about the bad news. i actually work for att and we just got a new labor contract that guarantees an additional 1000 a month on top of what you make hourly as long as you meet your sales goals. i believe starting is 12 but with the commission you can make 2500 plus fairly easily. the opening is on att.com/wireless

youd be working in a COR store (company owned retail). theyre hiring at the one by lakewood mall. if i had sales experience id be all over this. i work with credit and talk to the dumbasses at walmart "connection" center amongst other national retailers. they also have tuition remibursement and employee rate plans for cell service

definitely worth a try

Welcome to Sales. That's the nature of the beast, love it or leave it.

Looking at your background, I would stick with the pharm asst. background and look at other companies, unless that's dried up. Could you do the same job at retail locations (Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, RiteAir, etc.)?

You're a Pharm Asst. not a Pharm Tech., right?

Yea i was an an assistant(no license or requirements other than typing 30 words per minute). Theres no Tech license or anything. Outside of Kaiser its just a minimum wage job similar to a clerk.

At CVS or Walgreens I would just be a sales associate

Sales may be in my future. I did alright with that when I worked at the Y but its been two years since then.

Ive been applying as a bank teller, a box factory worker my uncle has worked for 22 years, and a couple city works/maintenance waiting lists for various surrounding cities.

What sucks the most is that the jobs are scarce and hard to find a quality job that pays more than $11 an hour.

Thanks for chiming in bro. I just had an hour long converstation with an old friend of mine who ended up with Verizion 2 years. She broke down what quotas consisted of and said its pretty hard not to meet them if your a solid persistant salesperson. Only bad news is that she said it took her 4 months to get called from the day she submitted her initial resume

anyone have any idea how much I would qualify for weekly on unemployment. I made 30K last year and was on track to make 32-33K this year. Ive heard its based on your quarterly earnings? Anyone have a rough estimate and what will they ask for as proof?

Check EDDs website, they have the calculator.

You should apply for it now since there is a one week waiting period (or maybe you're too late).

Casino morongo is hiring too from what i hear... if not move to arizona and sell some ***.... lol
