I have seen alot of optimas fail very quickly, ill never waste the money on one.

Knowing the actual voltage would help.

u have a capasitor? ....my suggestion is head into a kragen have them do a charging system test on ur car..if it fails u need an alternator ...get a new battery check all your grounds..make sure your amps have good clean grounds and make sure u have a capasitor...good rule of thumb is for every 500 watts of ur sound system u should have a 1 farad capasitor

x2 on the capacitor. If you don't have one, you should get one ASAP. You said that you had the Big 3 done so that means you should already have a new alternator. What kind is it and when did you install it?

Do you have a capacitor or not? They act as an additional battery so that your main battery doesn't take a hit every time the bass hits.

-2 on the cap, the only time the cap is being used is at high volumes when your really pulling power, besides that it doesnt do ****. I have had my yellow top for 2 years now and have runned it dead at least 100 times, still works.

I would check your alternator.

you should have came by sears today, i would have checked it out for you. if it is in fact your battery, upgrade to a red top or a die hard platinum. they are pretty much the same thing, except the die hards last longer

If you've run you battery down until it's dead, and only jumped it to get it going again without later putting it on a good battery charger, that's at least part of your problem.

FYI,
Your alternator was never meant to recharge a dead battery, only to keep it topped off.

Also, a cap is only a band aide.

If you really want one I have a 2 Farad Tsunami Capacitor with a built-in voltage display I pulled out of my system that 'll sell you for $50!

Caps are gay. They are a band aid as said before. Get a good battery or even a second one if your audio warrants it. Here is a good read to understanding a car audio capacitor and why you shouldn't get one.
