OK ya'll, how to fix dull, yellow headlights

Red face OK ya'll, how to fix dull, yellow headlights

OK, here's the Deal, i needed to replace rubber ring around headlights, my lights were yellow, dull, etc. i wanted to sand polish, but what i did was i poured, evenly acetone on face only, and WOW!!! WALLAH, clean smooth lights.....at last a discovered how to make a MILLION BUX'S............lol
tell me what ya think: DO NOT RUB!!!!!!!!..pour slowly arcross and back

cool, i would of thought the acetone would melt the plastic, either way cool george

TRICK OR TREAT !!!!!....lol...it's no JOKE it worked for me, becareful, doing it...protect the rubber ring!!!!

Seems like it works... more details please, how long did you let it sit for and how did you remove the acetone?

He probably poured the acetone on and let it bake in the sun. The acetone would have melted the plastic into a nice clean smooth surface assuming you don't touch it. You might be able to use a hairdryer from a distance at low speed to assist with the drying too...

George, you should have the lights covered with a clear bra material or something so that it takes longer for them to haze again.

I have some hazed stock lights I should test this on.

That's what i did, let the sun dry it which is pretty quick....Hey Lee, try it on ur hazed stock lights let us know how they come out...than you can sell them for a good price.....lol..
