Default which head for my set up tsp 2.5 5.3s or 243s

ok guys whats heads woud be best for 228/232 on a 114 its a lg gx5-1 cam
i need to change out my lifter and i am going to also change my heads what do u guys recommend tsp 2.5 stage 5.3s or 243s my mods now are full bolt ons lts, bbk intake, mti lid etc. on a a 6 speed looking for 400 rwhp and mid to high 11s and good street manners and to be the most reliable as possible

I would do the 5.3's for their better tq down low, better for a DD type car. If you want to spray it go with the 243's.

Wait stock 243's or ported 243's?

id do the 243's unless the 5.3s are cnc ported and have bigger valves

umm these are the heads i like but if u guys think theres a better budget head out there let me know.oh and i dont think the car will ever get some spray well atleast not now

um the only plans i have for the future are if the motor goes out built a real nice 347 thats about it oh and put a 12 bolt rear end i just want a nice daily driver with plenty of power and reliability.

Out of those two choices I'll take the 2.5 5.3 heads, If you plan on sticking with that cam for quite a while then have the heads milled a bit

I have the stage 2.5 5.3s on my LS1, in my Trans Am M6 through a 9" with 4.10s with a 235/240 cam from CMS it made 468 rwhp and 435 rwtq. The heads are milled as well.

That being said I dont think you will see a dramatic difference from those 243s to 5.3s. If I were going to run 243s id send them to WCCH for porting and mill them quite a bit

Bump to the top.wich head would be more reliable woud the added compresion on the 5.3s be less reliable for a daily driver and how would the added compression affect gas milleage.
