Just get one in addition to the F-body! C4 corvette's are ripe for picking, I got a 1995 for 11k with only 48k miles on it, my Firebird was already paid off.
I know most don't like C4, but man they are small and nimble little cars, wrap around dash, refined motor, electronic gizmos but no more than needed...my favorite generation. C5 are gorgeous, but too large IMO.

C5 are bigger in every way actually...
Longer, wider, and taller, only ~50lb lighter. Besides I've more than made up for the difference in weight with modifications, it's actually lighter than a stock C5 now.
As far as interior goes, I also like the fact that it is smaller than a C5, but I am not that big of a guy. So the car hugs you like a glove when you get in it, I like that.

Anyway not to get
Have one of each I still says!

Dead wrong on the heavier part and better weight distribution due to rear tranny on the C5
C4
coupe 3298 lbs
Convertible 3360lbs
C5
3230 lbs coupe manual
3253 lbs coupe auto
3231 lbs convertible manual
3254 lbs convertible auto
3130 lbs Z06
I've owned 2 C4's and there not a bad car just kind of outdated. A 1997 C5 can use 2011 C6 Z06 shocks, sway bars and front leaf spring. You could drop a 2010 Z06 motor in with just a reluctor wheel converter and a tune.
The only two things I would say the C4 besides the Zr1 has on the C5 is
1. Better stock seats and a race style feel when sitting in the car
3.Clam shell hood. I always enjoyed seeing that big hood open with the tires exposed otherwise even a 1997 Coupe kills it in every way.
The only C4 I would consider would be the Lt4 models but there almost C5 prices

I agree, I'd love to have the LS in a C4 chassis, my only real gripe so far is the opti, it's one of those things that looked good on paper, but failed in real life (that and the water pump, what goober thought that one up). I'm pretty good at replacing that stuff though, I am a fairly small guy used to the contortionist moves involved with replacing that thing lol

I'm glad I am not the only one that has been having the thought of a Vette sitting next to the Camaro. I was actually looking on auto trader the other day for C5 Vettes. I found a black turbo Vette for around 30k... Kinda funny how the same idea is on both sides of the country.
