Default Need Info.

Hey Guys, hows it going? My buddy is looking for shocks and springs.
Right now his car is all stock in suspension.
He wants to get new shocks and springs, or just one of them for now since his budget is $450. what kind of shock can he get for that price? thanks.

The only springs I liked are Stranos, he wont find any good struts and shocks for that price. I went with cheap kybs and regretted it. The strano springs and koni shocks work great together.

Shocks:
Bilstein HD'S or SLP's , whichever is cheaper, or you can get 2 front KONI SA shocks.
Springs:
Stranos(quality & spring rates), BMR (spring rates), Vogtland (quality, lowest cost).

pm sent.

If he is not going to lower, why would you want to change springs? If you keep your stock springs, then spend all your money to purchase Koni shocks for the front. I wish I would have made that decision when I bought my Tokico HP setup.

Hes not Into racing. He just loves cruising in his LE with his GF.
He just wants something good for the buck since the stock ones are going out already. I asked him if he wanted to lower it, he said no. He likes it how it sits, although he needs new shocks.

Shocks alone are $450. At least, shocks that are worth your time.

I'd recommend KYB AGX shocks... Best value/performance ratio compared to stock.

If he wants to stay stock height, he should buy 1LE springs. Stock height, but slightly stiffer spring rates. It was a rare performance package that including different springs, shocks, and swaybars, among other things. You can find the springs for sale every now and then. If you post a WTB in the General Classifieds you should get a bite.
