Default Transmission Problem

I have a 99 Z28 with about 110,000 miles, automatic trans. Yesterday all gears would shift smoothly unless I would floor it then it would slip at around 6k rpm. Today I drove the car and now it wont shift to second gear..what it does it will slip and once I let go of the gas, it catches into gear..Any ideas to what could be the problem? Thanks.

You know this is the Western Section, not the Transmission section. You should post in there, you will get more knowledgeable answers.

It sounds like the 2-4 band.. slips in OD and 2nd gear? Either the servo isnt working right or the band's worn out. Does 3rd slip?

Yes 3rd slips as well...called couple transmission places and a transmission rebuild cost about 1500 to 2000 dollars...Is that in the range of prices for a rebuild?
