2 runs as well, only people that got 3-4 runs were the early birds waiting at the gates to open. I thought the event was supposed to be geared to ls1tech members and their street rides?

I assumed that the track was the one with the issues overselling the tech cards and the people running the staging lanes were a flipping joke.
But it sucks to make a 650 mile round trip to get 2 runs in. (No offense to Mark and crew, you guys did an awsome job)
Last year we got a ton of runs, of course last year we didn't have someone breaking everyother run either...
Can't wait for next year! I'm hoping the promised Autocross actually happens.

Actualy several really were slow and several blew up on the track. I especially liked the guy next to me in staging using a butane torch to heat his bottle, guess when you've stipped your ride of anything to make it livable the few exra ounces for a real bottle heater is too much to ask...
I don't realy care if they were at the event or not, or how fast they were.
I do have a problem with paying the same entry fee to run as they did and only getting 2 runs in while they got several more than that.

Sounds like you were spectating and not racing for $12. Believe me, if you were running and paid $60, you'd be disappointed too.

Mark has done a very good job with the past events and were great which is why we returned. But this event was nothing like the previous ones. Heck, we couldn't even grudge race. There was no time for that according to the track lady. I guess she was just following orders from the tower because I know she always let's us grudge race.

Default LA Invasion?

Big Dissapointment,
The tech cards were soldout by the raceway, this was not the problem, the problems was the raceway running other events= Jr. drags, NHRA lic. qualifications, import runs and the LA Invasion at the same time. LSx owners and the LA invasion sponsers were duped, I spoke to a couple of the sponser and I assure all they were as surprised as all of us LSx drivers. I have never been a fan of Fontana because they always have somthing other than dedicated racing going on (qualifications, photo shoots etc.) they really don't seem to care if you get more than one run. If Pala casino follows through with there planned 1/4 mile track I will be finished with Fontana.

Really? Glad nobody touched my stuff! Thought these private track rentals were pretty safe. Sigh.

You guys need to go to Famoso when they have their private test & tune..You can get 50 runs, they limit it to 100 cars, $100. I would have been pissed too if I saw 500 cars there thinking it was just a muscle car event with 100 cars or so

I've been to a private event in Famoso about 3-4 years ago, can't remember exactly. But I did win the raffle for the free camshaft and dyno tune from cunningham Motorsports. That was by far the best private event!! Not only could you get a ton of runs, but the track was very well prepped.

Since then, we last went there this past November. Beautiful track, but it's about 120 away from us.

Whee could I get more info on the Famoso private event?

its a muscle car event and if by a a due date they had not sold the show out they would then hit up the hondas and then let them join us, i know it sucks having a few hondas but they needed to sell the event out to pay for the huge track rental fee but most of the people there do come from ls1tech, btw nice meeting u bro
