Not to be demeaning, but you are half correct. The V1's, or non-supercharged previous edition do have extremely weak (from what I have read) rear ends. Those pics are a '09 & up V2 version supercharged (not that supercharger) version out of the factory. Unless you are running low 12's in the 1/4, you will know when you get up beside one at the light. They run 12.1 to 12.6 in the 1/4 right out of the box depending on what magazine you believe.

These are times & data that I took off of, mostly the Cad forum, but at least 1 or 2 are off of here. These are claiming bone stock cars with no mods whatsoever, right down to stock tires and factory stock air cleaner set-ups and I have no reason to doubt them.

I don't know if they are now, but Kat & Pat bought that car about May of '09, I believe, and that was Kat's times posted. I have not seen them post on the Cad forum in quite a while. I am sure that they did not give up Duramax interest & racing for the CTS-V though. Back then, I believe that pat had / owned / operated a truck tuning shop. Hoping that they are OK.

the rearends they have in the older v's versus the new v's are two different animals.... the rear that was in the miata was a old v rear end.... but the car is 1500 lbs lighter then a cts-v and it doesnt make alot of torque... the main killer of the old cts-v rear was wheel hop, and obviously that miata doesnt wheel hop

Love the V's, hopefully it will be my future DD.
The black CTS-V @ LA Invasion last year was running 11.80's@118 (90 degree heat with 3000+ DA) & had most bolt-on and cam'd F-body cars covered.

Cad V2 motors are not much bigger than your, and if you would like to talk modded, there are a couple of East Coast cars running high 9's, I believe. Definitely highly modded.
If you ever get down south, I know a couple of little 331 C.I. turbo Buicks that might be interested in a friendly match. Actually, some will be running at Fontana Friday, 03-04-2011. And not too many turbo Buicks run juice.

How much HP do those CTSV's come with?? That's what I was getting at, they have way more hp than me I believe. None of them can touch my 1.56 60ft. That's were my ET came from obviously. And my main point is, I don't care how much HP you have, If you can't get it down the track it's useless. Kick *** time Litigator. That mph is stout.

556 & 553, I believe for CSHP & CSTQ, respectively, and about 465 RWHP & RWTQ on the average. They also carry around about 1000 lbs. more than you do. And yes, a modded Cad CTS-V will not only touch your 1.560 ft, at least one has beaten it. I am sure that slicks were involved. That would be user name 600+ CTS-V on the Cad forum running a 1.549 60 ft & 9.855 & 139.7 in the 1/4. And no, a slightly modded Cad CTS-V probably can't touch your 60 ft., but can probably match you at the big end of the 1/4.
