Thats great but unless he has an upgraded rear, I don't care what he has, it is the weakest IRS setup out there, hell a Cobras IRS is better.
Only mods I have heard ZR1 guys doing is twin turob and getting 1000hp out of stock bottom ends to the ground or there about.

V2 rears are pretty strong. I know quite a few 700 RWHP CTS-V's and i don't know of any that have had a problem with the stock rear yet. One of the guys back in IL runs slightly over 700 RWHP and runs 10.3 something in the 1/4 with a stock rear.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions without at least talking to them. It would not surprise me if that car does put out somewhere in that vicinity at the crank. I am sure that is not a RWHP #. Also, they use a Dynapack dyno for all of their RWHP & RWTQ testing which are believed to run about 12% high on #'s. If that car is an A6 (auto) then it is probably putting out about 720 RWHP on a Dynapack dyno. There is not a lot of tire / rim combos available for that car in terms of delivering RWHP & RWTQ.

Yeahh I thought so.. seen them @ irwindale as well as a featured vehicle on gm high tech with some good #'s.. idk about having "weak" irs systems. .. I think ford has the worst irs and wheel hop.. imo. V2s are improved over all just look at those 6 piston brembos vs the v1s
