What's the LS1 real power?
#62
doesn't do much. Lots of aftermarket exhaust and CAI will give you better power then the SLP edition cars. Like I said before. And ls1 is an ls1. Z28 to the "top" ls1. I've beaten slp cars and have gone head to head with base z28's
I've never seen anything huge come out of a cut out. No big deal to me. And aren't you new to V8's? So now is the time to tell you... Ls1 is an ls1

Just saying, a 260HP Mustang GT has beaten more than one LS1 out on the streets, mainly because the GT driver is very good and/or the LS1 driver is not very good. An SLP Packaged LS1 will consistently run faster with a good driver than a stock LS1 without the added package.

New sorta, if you look to the left I've been a member here for over a year.

I wish I could find a mid 90's or early 2000's Mustang GT to race. Because that was my car's chief competitor, and those Mustangs outsold the Camaro 3 to 1. Just want to show them they invested in the wrong car.

350HP
The ONLY and I mean ONLY way to judge if a car is a "factory freak" is to run it at the track, period.
Just because "tims" bone stock ls1 put down 320Rwhp doesn't mean his car is any faster than "joes" bone stock ls1 that put down 290Rwhp.
I put down 370Rwhp, I have completely bitch slapped every other sub 400Rwhp ls1 I have ran, I'm a full weight car.
The dyno is a tuning machine, nothing more.

When the light turned green I casually accelerated, nice and easy. They took the next on-ramp onto the interstate, and it was there I could confirm it was just a V6 'Stang...193HP, slow as *****.

I bought my car brand new and it put 306/324 bone stock to the filter with about 20,000 miles. It went 13.2 at 108 at Pomona on the stock RS-As. I always used to believe in the factory freak deal until all my buddies cars that I pulled on in a street race dynoed with me. We all put within 5 hp of each other stock and trapped about the same at the track. I just grabbed gears better than they did and was far more determined than they were. Even at a 112 trap now, my car is slow and boring. Time for more mods!

Omg, that reminds me. This one time, cruising out in town I came up to a light with a black early 00's Mustang GT next to me. I looked over at it, and the badge seemed different, it was a little more curvey than the real GT badges are. I only noticed this after I revved my engine a few times. The girl who was driving it, had a guy in her passenger seat, she yelled at me, "You don't want none of this!" And some other **** I can't remember. I just shook my head and revved it up one more time just to make them wish they had the V8.

Of course you didn't want none. It's a waste of gas lol. Today I saw a v6 Camaro and looked just like an SS. The only difference was the single tail pipe and the sound. Other the. That it would of fooled me. Emblems and all looked well placed even though they were chrome.

I hate that ******* thing. Cause people are seeing it and probably thinking how slow those Mustang GTs are.
At least put the right year GT badges on the goddamn thing.

I hate clones with a passion. With all the time and money invested in making it look like a real clone you could have put that into making it a quick V6.
Plus, if you want the V8 that bad, go out and buy it!
