Great Street Legal Day At Fontana! Finally broke into the 11's!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS_qFeJaehk
Definitely the best street legal day @ Fontana I've been to!
I bought two run tickets, which ended up being overkill because there were so few cars!
Usually they have groups 1-4 plus motorcycles... yesterday there were only Groups 1/2 + a small group 'x' which was for semi-dragsters, etc.
I got 13 runs total and I left early! (the track got hot and traction went away...)
My previous best was 12.48 @ 113.75...
My new best is an 11.75 @ 119 mph!

Haha, I will only tell if you promise not to say... "with that much power you should be going a lot faster than that..."
It put down 443 rwhp and 417 rwtq. The car weighs roughly 3550 with me in it.

I still dont see how you havn't takin your car to Fontana yet being that you've made a ton of runs on Irwindale... Dont be scared You've only talked about going for nearly 2 years now. I'm just busting your ***** Adam, but seriously you need to get some 1/4 mile runs because 1/8 mile sucks.

@Adam have you ever hit up a 1/4 mile track? It makes 1/8 mile better because after a few clean runs you can calculate the et/mph conversion factors for your car and use them at the 1/8 mile tracks!

I don't if anyone here knows about this or not but the Oct. 29th Street Legal is part of a competition for the 21 best reaction times to compete against each other (7 from each of 3 Street Legal days) on Wed. Nov. 9 at Pomona for the grand prize, a race against an NHRA Pro Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Pomona Finals. The Oct. 29th Street Legal is the last event to qualify so get out there and get a chance to run with the big boys. The article I saw was in the National Dragster 10-7-11. You can call to confirm if you like, Fontana's #909-429-5060.

Having said that, here's something I just dumped on YouTube - making a 12.95 pass at Fontana in my C5 the very next day at the IDRC race:

And yes, I am aware of how slow my reaction time on that was, thank you very much...
What are you using for a video camera? GoPro? As you can see in mine, the Kodak PlaySport ZL5 I'm using doesn't care for vibration too much, and I get the weird "waves" in the video.

Sheesh did you see all the cracks on the track past the 1/8 mile, thats scary, they need to do some work on it to fix that..
BTW good job on breaking 11's, with a good sixty foot you got a nice mid to low 11's camaro there..
