Default Street Legal Drags, Fontana... Took My CBR600!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG2V9Yc4tm4

This was kind of a 'bucket list'-type thing for me. The CBR600 is not a drag bike by any means, but I still wanted to give it a try.

I went 12.35 @ 117 on my first and only pass EVER on a motorcycle. Not sure if I'll race it again or not, but at least I can say that I've done it!

The track was SUPER crowded (hadn't seen it like this in years). Got to the track at 9am, didn't get a run in until noon, and then I had to leave. The last time I went, I showed up at 8:30 AM and got 4-5 runs in by noon! Not sure why there were so many people there...

Good run for your first time. When my car hooks I can feel it in my chest, must feel crazy on a bike.

It was definitely a rush! I'm a beginner rider, so I was just 'babying' it out of the whole... only 2.35 60'.

so much fun. its a completely different type of pull than a car.
i only had a 600 too, but if you give it the go, you can be at 150+ in seconds...

Unless you got a 11 sec car launching a bike down the strip is a different thrill. biggest bore bike I've ridden down the track was a 88 Sukuki 1100 and it was a handfull off the line. Current bikes are much faster. Nice run by the way!

Yeah, getting a sportbike to 60' is quite a task. Thats why whenever some people say they beat a sportbike off a red light, I really don't hold any merit to it.

Average rider launching a 600cc sportbike off a stoplight = about 13.5@110.

Not a bad first run though for you. Good job!
