Question window motor fix

Where is a good place around the IE to have a drivers window motor replaced at I have the new motor just need it put in I've been hearing $75-120 in moreno valley hemet area is that about right?

all you need is a dremel, drill bit and rivets/screws. ive done about 20 of them.

Thanks I'm actually headed to harbor freight tools right now to go buy a dremel now lol..I firgure with you guys help and a write up I can do it myself and save the $75-120 I've been hearing its gonna cost me to swap it out

I replaced mine with the help of YouTube. I thought it was gonna difficult, but it is very simple.

should also look into the autotrix mod or build your own autotrix mod since its pretty much 2 relays and some wires.

Um when GM designed the stoopid window motor setup on these cars they take power for the passenger window off the drivers side which is why these motors burn out so much. So basically the autotrix kit makes your passenger window get its own power off the battery instead of the drivers side.

Lmao no I didn't finish it yet I took it off seen all that **** and realized I'm not ready to do it yet so I pushed on the harness for the motor and it started working again :-)

one guy quoted me at 350+ .. i was like forget that, have been driving with my window shut for years....

anyone in I.E. willing to do it for alot cheaper?

gees guys it takes like 20 minutes to do. ive done like 6-7 members window motors not including the many i have done myself. get an autozone one so if it goes out again its covered under warranty and you can get another one.

You should be able to do it with little to no problems. I did mine like 6 months ago for the first time and it went pretty smooth. Just take your time with the door panel when taking it off. goodluck!
