Long time, no post, new car
So its been a while. I get depressed seeing all of the great cars on here, and all I had was my wifes equinox and a crappy company car.
Well, I got a new job, and I was required to get my own car. Now that I have a baby (yes, news to most of my friends on here), I needed a family-ish car.
I got a 2013 VW CC R-line in candy white. Its the second 2013 CC R-line sold in so cal, as this trim just arrived...its strange, the 2013 CC was in dealers a year ago, but it took them this long to release the "performance" model.
Since this isnt a VW site I wont assume anyone knows the difference of the R-line. It is only available on the 2.0T, not the Vr6. It adds paddle shifters to the DSG tranny, the R-line body kit, the lighting package (think Audi LEDs in headlights), different wheels, and a few other small upgrades that escape me.
I added the Nav on as well. Its a nice sporty sedan. Not a race car, but its decent power, especially considering its only rated at 200hp. it has dual mode HIDs with projectors, leatherette (feels nicer than GM leather), dual climate controls, both front power seats w/lumbar controls, and rain sensing wipers.
The car handles greats, accelerates smooth and quick, and is super quiet inside. The only changes planned for now are tint, a downpipe, tune, exhaust, and stereo upgrade.
Better pics from my dSLP coming soon.

I had a 2012 Jetta TDi for a while. Great car. I LOVED that head unit with the nav. Do those come with the Fender sound system? Mine was awesome for stock. The GTO sounds like hammered garbage compared to it...
CC was always my favorite looking VW and that one looks great.
Funny, the Jetta is what I got rid of my WS6 for...

Also, they made a middle of the line nav for the 2.0t, so I couldnt get the awesome nav unit (bigger screen). Its a simple plug and play swap out, so im working on getting that.
There are some things that wont void the warranty. My salesman is a car guy, and he was giving me ideas of what can be done to not effect the warranty. The tune can be put back to stock temporarily for service.

If you're gonna be going as far as tuning and changing parts, might as well have rolled with a CTS-V, G8, TBSS, or even an SRT8 or something of the like. Kills 2 birds with one stone for your needs, and gets rid of your performance itch by sacrificing just a little bit of MPG.

2) wanted a new car, so G8, TBSS were out of the question
3) Never been a fan.
I sent about 3 weeks debating with myself over what i wanted. I looked at STS-v, G8 GXP, TBSS, regal GS (2013)...but i decided on the CC after driving. Its fast enough, but there is a lot of hp left on the table with this car. I did scratch my fast itch when I had my camaro.

Dave very nice, ABD racing is a great place to get parts. I have done almost all the bolt ons for the 1.8t engines in the mkIV jetta/gti.
The wife and I are looking at an Equinox once I get settled at the new job and I will actually be making real money so I can start having fun with the car too.

I will have to check out ABD racing.
We really like the 'nox. the new v6 that it is offered with is much better than the one available a couple of years ago, which is why we got the 4. Supposedly they are introducing a new 'nox in 14.

I see how not talking to you while I owned the TDi wasn't a complete loss. I would've voided the warranty in a hurry and not gotten nearly as much on the sale lol. It was so close to being fast enough but just wasn't.
