Got a buddy with a 2010 ss camaro ls3. Stock he put down 400 to the wheel. Added headers got rid of the cats with a mail order tune and now is putting 420. The guy that dynoed it said to enrich it a bit because he is running a bit lean and he would gain some ponies. Its amazing how its doing so good.

Don't the ls3 m6 usually put down about that much stock? Maybe like 390 or so? 10hp difference at the wheels isn't to huge.
And full exhaust, cat delete and mail tune I thought gives you around 30+at the wheels.
Looks like its all within the regular margins to me. Probably wrong on my end though.

It happens every now and again, and yes gm rated it at 425 but they do dyno ~390 through the manual...
Car manufacturers are notorious for under rating performance cars... So yeah it is quite possible to see those numbers...

i do... my sisters 02 ws6 with some bolt ons and no tune... which should be around 325ish whp feels like my bolt on and tuned Camaro with 355whp. i think they slipped her the Z06 cam from the factory lol.
back to the 5th gen. if the numbers seem high. i would ask what dyno they are using and then if it is SAE corrected or STD(standard). STD reads about 10 more whp than SAE. We use SAE and hondas use STD for the extra nudge in power...
