Who would be interested in a 1/4 mile track right outside of Fresno? It would be a 70-80 acre site that is approx 20 miles(25 min drive) from the downtown Fresno area. It would be off the 41, between the cities of Caruthers and Selma.
Just want to see how much interest there would be in this type of project. I am very close with some land owners out there who either need to plant something or invest in a project like this. Water is a tough issue right now for farmers, so this could be very feasible to do.
Let me know folks. This could be the start of something, so talk with friends/family and see what kind of interest there is.

I think that would be awesome being i live in Caruthers one thing i see this is Jerry Turner years ago tried to open a track got shut down by the city. Then the plans for the track in Merced got squashed. I dont know if it be Fresno County to deal with to get the permits.
I know alot of the land owners out there as well if its not a big secret can you PM me the actual spot??

I would love for a track in Fresno County but realisticly, I can't see it happening. Jerry and Jim were going to donate the land, labor, and the costs and still couldn't get the city to approve it. I guess he didnt/wouldn't line the politicians pockets with money so they said no. The whole mess was totally political.

and the land owners weren't exactly convinced on selling, plus the farm show was against it, which is right next to where it was gonna be.
