Default So-Cal? Riverside Area?

Anyone in the so-cal area looking for a club? EMD Motersports is official. We meet twice a month and are working on setting up some local events. Although we are not strickly a camaro club, we are open to all non-"rice" vehicles. We are also currently working on setting up the website so when it is up i'll update the post with the address and you'll be able to check us out there. If interested please contact me at nemanracing@yahoo.com for more info or show up at the denny's parking lot off madison in riverside its just off the 91. Our next meeting will be on Feb 8th at 9pm.

Sorry guys don't have internet access at home right now... We are still working on getting people interested and tuesday nights work out for most everyone right now. as more people become involved we will meet more than twice a month or change the day as nessecary. Right now we have about 13 cars and trucks on average we've gotten 8-10 to show up per meeting based on the night so it will prob change with more involvement. On Feb 12th we are going on a Ortega Hwy Cruise. So if you want to join us you are more than welcome too. There's also a local drive in restaurant that does cruise in nights on the second and fifth friday nights so we will prob start going... We are going to try and have a printed scedule of events at our next meeting, and it will be posted on the internet as soon as our site is ready. We will also start attending/participating at the street legals at the Fontana drag strip as well. Hope your interested and to see you at our next meeting...

98 midnightbluebird,

So do I, I've seen your car in the parking lot. I drive a red 96 camaro Z28 with the black GTR wing on it. That would be cool. Maybe we could meet on campus before the meeting? And the cruise on Feb 12th if your availiable...

no, it is not limited to just ls1,lt1 cars the club is open to anything thats kinda fast and not a "rice" car. Your car sounds awesome! i've had 2 91 camaros and niether one had that much *****. If you can cruise out to riverside on feb 8th thats when our next meeting is scheduled then the cruise is on the 12th. Email me for more info on the cruise @ nemanracing@yahoo.com .

sounds great..

yeah mine is not rice, and i actually have a lot of 4th gen parts on the car.

SS 17x9.5 wheels, a posi rear end 3.23 plus disk brakes from a 2002 SS, leather seats from a 99 camaro, 02 center console, LS1 aluminum drive shaft, 1LE front PBR brakes.. ect ect. long list of upgrades on this car.. just needs paint and carpet. the 6 speed i got from McLeod, has better gearing for my car than the LT1 or LS1. its really close to the 93 G92 T56..

Sadly it is a 2004 Cobra R completly stock on drag radials runs consistent 11.4's, we are still small and looking for new members. Definately need some more gm influence... my 96 Z28 should be able to run 12.8's but i have not been able to make it to a track yet, hopefully soon...

???

Did they make a Cobra R in 2004? I thought the Cobra R was only 1999 and 2001. Came stripped out from the factory with a 351ci pushrod motor.

Ah ha! That makes more sense now. The Cobra R That I've seen ran low 11's with a huge cam, bolt-ons and slicks. I was wondering how he got a Cobra R in the 11's with drag radials.

I was way off on my Cobra R years anyway. LOL It was 1995 when it came equiped with a 351ci, then in 2000 it had a 5.4L DOHC.

I will be out there on Tuesday and will bring out the 02 Med Red Z-28.

I also had a 03 Cobra that had a few bolt on's and ran high 11's on a street tire but started to have problems with the motor and went in for warranty work and it was a nightmare from there and close to $12,000 in work to fix. So I decided to sell it and finish my 85 Mustang which is now a fully bulit GT-40 302 with lots of work with a Paxton SN2000 with 10-12LBS of boost. Last year of the carburator and best of all no computer. Plus if the motor goes in the future a nice 347 shortblock will only run $2,500.

I really enjoyed the 03 Cobra but they are starting to have problems and the market is going way down on them. Nobody wants to purcahse one that has had any type of mods done to it.

So I decided to purchase another 02 Z-28 and do some bolt ons for now until I get the new Z06 corvette but will wait for the 2nd year to come out.

Look forward to meeting everyone on Tuesday. Ken
