Westcoast Shootout? Anyone Interested?
I think it would be great to set up something like this, there has not been anything like it as far as I know of out here I think it would be great for us that can't travel across the U.S. for a race. Lets have some fun!

I think we need one out here for sure, there are a lot of LS/LT cars out here and if word got out there would be a great turnout.

I think if we made the cutoff anything west of Texas it would be fair and the car counts would be better. I am seriously thinking of putting this together so if you want it guys, let me know I need to see car count to make it work. Rules should be similar to the eastern series so that there could be a Eastcoast/Westcoast battle down the road without too much trouble.
What do you think?

I hope we get enough people, if I can get close to 100 people to chime in I will spend the time getting this thing organized. I hope to make it a fairly large scale event. I am thinking just because it is near to me and easier to get all the publicity stuff done for it that California Speedway has a decent facility and can handle anything down to the 6's. They have a sand trap at the end and a concrete launch pad as well as a large enough pit area to handle 400+ cars. Keep em comin guys and please use the poll as it is where i will be getting my numbers from!

Bryan, it shouldn't be hard at all to get the turnout you're looking for, I think once everything is set up you'll have LT1/LS1 F-cars, GTOs, Vettes lining up to get in.
I may have to stop by your shop for some last-minute changes.

Great guys, once I have enough people ready to sign up, I will start on a schedule and try to set it up, I am simply seeing if there would be interest in something like this out here. It seems to me that it would be a hit! Everyone keep posting, I need to know there is a large enough group to actually hold an event!

I'm looking at my car being done in the next couple of months. Hopefully it will end up somewhere in the 8s...just got the minitub kit in the mail a few days ago, so it is time to start cutting up the car.
I am hoping to get the Fab9 rear (when it gets here) and the rest of the suspension in the car and then start chopping away...gotta get those 29x10.5Ws to fit!
