actor needs job lol hi there...i was just wondering...i want to be an actor and jobs in Houston are dead end jobs...i want to move to LA to chase my dreams...and i was just wondering if there was anybody here who could help me get a foot in the door. i know its a small shot doing it here i was just wondering...ya never know right??? ill do anything...just PM me if you can. You and 10 gazillion others that have moved to LA in the last 70-80 years have had this fantasy. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard someone say this when I lived in LA I could've retired by now 
Sorry, but your idea is so typically mid-western that I just had to laugh about it. The reality of the situation is that less than 1/10 of 1% of the folks that have moved to LA to persue this goal have even gotten in a crowd shot, let alone a speaking part. I wish you luck cuz you're gonna need a boatload of it.

ANYWAYS, I am the 5LITEREATER (on the other boards) that Paul (KwikWS6) referred to.
My wife and I moved here from Orlando (little more acting jobs that Houston but not much, too bad Walker left you guys...), have been here one year and are making a good living acting...
For the nay sayers just look us up on www.imdb.com Mark DeLisle and Deanna DeLisle ... Last big movie I did (not on IMDB yet) is "Syrianna"... Can't miss me, the second to the last scene is just me...

And other people chiming in are stating their experiences, or stating that they know lord knows how many people who are "aspiring" actors who work in dead-end jobs that barely pay their bills.
