i thought maybe the oil was spewing out the open oil port, onto the headers...

i went ahead and overnighted the racetronix kit, will be here tomorrow. i hear its a REALLY nice kit, it uses alot of parts from original GM, so its a very "factory feeling" kit. its also a direct swap, no need to modify the tank or anything. glad i went ahead and bought the full kit.

I think that 241 came on 00-02 cars and 843 came with 98-99

241s i think flowed slightly better

241's are 2001 and up LS1 heads...243 are the LS6 heads...853 is for the 99-00 cars...you should have an 806 permiter mounted design...

Look on the passenger side on the lower corner of your heads...There will be 3 numbers there...

and the difference would be...the 241's are die cast, as opposed to sand cast process done on all other years...Made the ports smoother and whatnot...Nothing huge...

But the fact that they are on a 99 makes me wonder if he doesn't have some ported stockers sitting on top...Would make sense for the power he's making with the little cam, minus the choking up of his intake and whatnot...

My car feels soooo much faster now! I love this. Any you would never guess but the dirt under the ducts help it stick.
