ya i forget why though, but somebody explained it to me at one time... something about the spark going to the prong with less resistance therefore the other 3 are useless or something i dont know.


edit: maybe they arent "bad for ls1's" but rather useless and a waste of money.

BTW i had my fuel filter changed like 12k miles ago so i dont think its that

that makes sense, so if the spark is going to the bottom prong its not as good to have the other three up top..?

Yeah your problem is the bosch platium plus 4's. I wouldnt even run one of those on a weed wacker. God they are such pieces of ****. and like 8 bucks a plug too for what? to **** up and die. ok im done.

I saw diab. Chris at Ramiros tonight at 11:45. I woulda pulled in a talk a little **** but I had to take an enormous **** so I had to get home.

i edited my previous post, i guess its not bad, but rather useless.

also, to see if you have a fouled plug, get the car running and pull a plug wire off ONE AT A TIME and see if it affects the idle at all, if you happen to pull one off and the idle is not affected, that means that plug is fouled and you are basically running on 7 cylinders, but even that wouldnt result in hesitation only after 2k rpm, its got to be something with fuel.

you could easily tell if you had a fuel pressure gauge, hook it up and read the pressure, and manually rev it with the throttle cable, and watch the fuel gauge and i bet it drops off at 2k rpm or whenever it hesitates

have you checked to see if your pump still comes on? all you have to do is sit in your car, and make sure its quiet, then just turn the key to the on position, and you can hear it pumping back there, an electrical noise... if you hear nothing, something is up with it

try twisting off the cap on the end of your drivers side fuel rail, and see if it has pressure in there

Sweet while we are doin the problem woes. the big debate is to sell the eclipse or keep workin on it. The biggest problem I have right now is the fuckass intercooler. Now I talked to steve at AGP and after getting fucked in the *** raw after the rebuilt turbo was only going to be "100 bucks" turned into 350 because he/his boss fucked up I had to pay for it, theres a good rep for the company right there , He kept assuring me that "my boss doesnt want to loose money on this" Im like well **** you told me 100 for warranty now you go back on what you say and I loose money because you "assured" me it was going to only be 100? I mistakenly ask him about a new intercooler and his response was since it was such a highly competitve market all new pipes intercooler clamps and what have you would be 800 cash. So I was like its not worth spending that much on that ****. I signed up for NEDSM awhile back and they just started a group buy of intercoolers so I checked it out. And for 375 shipped to my door I would get a 28x10.5x3.5 intercooler, with piping, couplers and T-bolt clamps for 375 shipped. Even less if you straight out bid on the thing. I was blown away. So I did the side by side comparison between the two intercoolers and its the same damn thing. The end tanks are the same, same core etc. So Now I wonder is the other 400 profit for the company or what? It would probabaly be assured that the agp intercooler is "quality" like I could careless it just has to work, and for 1/2 the price its a gamble im willing to take instead of supporting that company. What a joke.

I turned it into more of a rant but that has been bothering me for awhile.

LOL at the troubleshooting...If it was 2 hours earlier i'd come and help you...Bosch +4's FTL, saw an Evo get all fucked up because of them...

I like gregs post...edit: maybe they arent "bad for ls1's" but rather useless and a waste of money. LOL...

Fuel air and spark FTW, that's your problem...I'll tell you in the morning what the problem is, but i'm sleepwalking now, so you'll need to temp me with some hookers to get anything productive from me...
