ok i have to bitch a little.... sorry

saturday morning i spent 3-4 hrs detailing my car, wash (granted it was machine washed) then paint cleaner, then swirl remover, then meguiers tech wax

anyway this morning i drove the car to work, covered it like i always do (washed the cover over the weekend too) well i hear the telltale buzz of the lawn workers this morning and think "good thing my car is covered" well apparantly since they were walking up and in between cars and stuff it realy didnt matter, i went out there on my break and uncovered the car and the whole thing was covered with grass/leaves/ etc

so i spent 10-15 minutes dusting the car off beating as much leaves and **** out of the car cover as i could..... and put the cover back on. i took it off a few mins ago on lunch and see that its not too bad, but it still has some **** in it so i had to dust it off yet again...argh i just hope im not doing anything to the clear coat/paint by dusting off the crap with the cali duster

i posted on one of the other boards i go to (ls2) and got a reply of "you covere you car while at work? its just a car dude, you can wash it again"

the guy is from mass.. and probably hasnt had a day of 110+ degree with direct sunlight beating down on a black car with dark leather......

if i dont cover it, its damn near 140+ degrees inside the car because we dont have covered awnings at work...

i think from now on im gonna start taking the city bus again on mondays, that is lawncare day..

oh and FWIW i wasnt even parked by the grass area they cut, they were blowing leaves and **** out from around cars in the lot

i just went out there a few minutes ago, and the parking lot has just as many leaves as it did before they got here this morning

Yeah best way to do it is wash the car outside then push it in the garage or something. If you waxed it well enough the water should bead and slide right off but it will take the dust and **** off.

95ta sorry to hear that. You have to love how people respect nice cars Also on a sad note the FRC has decided not to stay running! No idea what it is yet but it wont rev up past 2500 like it runs out of fuel, and it wont stay running like it loads up at idle. This is not what I wanted to be doing today arh....

That has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. Teach me to run out of fuel..... .

dont feel too bad, a few weeks ago, i did the exact opposite, i got a u haul truck that had a 1/3 tank of gas in it, and the gas gauge was exactly the opposite of how it was shown on the rental sheet, so before i turned it in, i put about $60 bux in the damn thing to get it back to 2/3, i knew rental trucks got shitty mileage, but i couldnt see using 2/3 a tank of fuel in 59 miles unfortunately they couldnt reimburse the fuel, but since i rented the truck for 2 days at 11am the day before and got it back by 1pm saturday, tehy only charged me 1 day
