Just because a turbo has the ability to produce a certain HP range doesn't mean you can achieve it....No use in going any further....good luck with the car.....and congrats on your engagement....any matter....your car should be a beast, but not a 1000rwhp beast.....

slow89, you should make the power on the turbo, with roughly 25-30psi of boost, ie look up wolverine on svtperformance, and streetfire, he made 1000rwhp on a gt42r 74 mm inducer turbo. but your turbo being larger will most likely take longer to spool, make more peak numbers, but less torque numbers, i would go with a gt42r, IMO

see someone who actually knows a little about a turbostang. Im going with a mp gt45 for 2 reasons price(675) and that when it matched up with a good auto they move like no other! ill be most likely going with a glide so the tranny wont be a problem!

there is a reason the turbo only cost 650.
A 42r or gt47r both cost 2k plus becasue of the technology involed in it. the Dual bearings decrease spool about 20%. A gt45 on a 302 will spool right around 5000rpm, so unless you plan on reving to over 8k rpm you won't be having mucj fun. save the money get a BB turbo and spool it around 4000 rpm. it'll be alot more fun to drive. Or hell go with a t6 flanged PTE t76 with a Q trim wheel thatll support 1000 rwhp on high boost.
One more thing if you plan on making 1000whp through a huge stall and a A2 you are insane, you'll be needing a more cubes under the hood.
