transferring ownership......

Default transferring ownership......
Does anyone know how I would transfer ownership without a title. The car is still being payed off by someone else but they want to transfer the ownership to me, but since it is not fully payed off she doesnt have the title, the dealership she got it from does....so how would I pull this off???

You'll still have to go to the DMV... What are you doing? Taking over payments from the dealership, paying off the car from the dealership, taking out a loan and paying off the car? Is there gonna be a lien holder?

Its my car but it is under my moms name and I am going to be taking over the payments and the insurance so she wants it to be transfered over into my name!!!what the heck is a lien holder????

Then just go to the dealer that has the title and tell them what you want to do. The lien holder in your case would be the dealer.

No matter the situation, you have to go through the lien/title holder.

Try buying anything from someone who doesn't own it and you'll get the point.
