Default Who has burried the needle, just curious?

I'm curious to find out how many peeps out there have pushed their rides to the limit? I'll start:

1. 65 - 150, racing an 03 Cobra on the 5S in Santa Ana @ midnight.
2. 70 - 148 racing an M3 on 5N in Anaheim @ 1'ish.
3. 80 - 145 racing an LT1 Z28 on 5S @ 11'ish.

I've taken her to the 130, 140 range dozens of time though, in countless situations, but I've yet to BURRY the needle. I never have the oppurtunity, or the runway most of the time, although I know I can get there.

I love it. It's a little pricey though. Would never want to get rid of it.

When the motor was stock right before I took it to the shop for upgrades 155 on the santa ana free way. The govener kicked on for a second or two, tring to tame the car

91 Camaro's hypathetical top speed was 125. Speedo read 110. Had it just a tad past that.

1995 Maxima did 118 in-between 2 18 wheelers, one tried to cut me off so I had to split.
1995 Civic Dx (105hp) did I think 102 with the body kit and being lowered.
1991 & 89 Civic hatchback, project cars.. never got past 65 i think
1985 s10... speedo read like 85 or so.. i had it topped out.. lol
2002 Ford Escape.. governor kicked in at 108

I've done it twice in my old LS1 Z-28. Took it out in the desert where the roads are long, straight, unused and have a full view in all directions. The first time i topped it out i had the t-tops off, BIG no-no. It creates a big suction in the car. But both times i had the needle past the end of the dial.

Have yet to do it in the SS. I've only taking the SS up to 135-140.

LoL, actually the 11 and the 1'ish were during the day. They were all as safe as random runs could be though. Plus fwy's happened to be empty at the time. I always scan 30 to 40 cars ahead and behind, and watch my entrance ramps and shoulders.

i've done it once, on the way to barstow... and it felt like it had some more in it but i'm sure a blown tire at the speed.... would probably equal death...
