Catalytic converters question.
I'm going with an x-pipe an moroso spiral flows. Wasn't planning on running cats but now I think I will. I was told about these stops where they check if your car passes emission and now these breathilizer for the exhaust which check if your car has cats and if they work. I need some stock cats if anyone has any that work let me know. if not what kind of cats are good and not too expensive. What size are stock cat pipe?

I'm doing it so if they stop and check if too much emmisions are coming out then there won't be. It won't be getting dumped going under the axel. Oh I know a place that doesn't care about visual inspection.

Its not worth it in Cali dude. Some high flow cats are not going to kill your HP. I know people that have been caught, its an expensive mess and cops are looking for loud cars with no cats. Its a big fine.

Why do you guys run illegally like that? I mean, do you go rob a bank when you need money because you dont care about the law?
The damn tree-huggers in this state have made it so you could get your car impounded if you're stopped by a cop. Its not worth the risk to me. And I dont see why you guys would risk it too, all for at most 5 horsepower. Not to mention the loudness is a genuine cop magnet.
Plus, the more people who get caught without cats and other smog equipment, the more fuel that gives the tree-huggers to write even tougher laws. Eventually even SEMA wont be able to stop them and it'll be illegal to make any change to our cars.
[/gloom and doom]
