Painting manifold/coils/brackets.
before
I really wanted to chrome my coils brackets, but the lowest price I got was 90.00 and it would take 2 weeks for them to be done. I picked up duply colors chrome paint. at first i thought it would look tacky and cheap, but that paint made miracles. it turn out great.
write up=
2 coats of adheasive promotor,2 coats of hitemp primer,2 coats of your choice of color,3 coats of clear.
SOM ls6 Manifold
write up=wet sand 400 grid,600,800,1000,1500.
3 coats of adhesive promotor,3, coats of primer,3 coats choice of color,4 coats of clear.
As far as the SOM paint goes I couldnt get the original paint from Gm on time. I was 3 days away from the show.I went to Pepboys and found similar color made by duply color. they call it copper metallic. It's about 90% close to SOM.I was very happy with it.
hi temp primer
SOM/copper Paint
clearI dont know why, but the clear made the SOM paint fall off.it didnt react well.So i just resprayed the manifold with 3 more coats of SOM
finished product
you can see my polished water pump andthe new slp maf from this view

Cesars new seats look good.
Did you port the manifold when you had it out?
Edit: It's funny to me that you did the more involved stuff but ignored the small things like relocating those grounds and removing the hose going to your lid. Since you obviously did the !air mod... at least partially. The only other advice I have for your next show is to get a stand so you don't cover up part of your engine bay with that folder. Either way good job.
O and maybe look into this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...elocation+coil
