Default GM Muscle Hosts Its First BBQ and Cruise. 8-3-08

Well i figured now would be a good time to announce what we have been planning.

The Plan
to have some good food and hit some nice twisty's, one of my favorites the ca 243.
first we will bring all our food and soda to a park or a members house or place of business. then set off on our cruise and come back to the spot and start the eating and drinking.we have yet to set this in stone but have a great place in mind located in riverside. this detail will be ironed out in the coming day's

Time
we will start getting everyone together at the place by 9AM, this should leave us enough time to get going and be back by noon

So, we are still ironing out the details we either are going to do 1 of 2 things, depending on how many people want to make it out.

A.we will hire a taco guy to come and cater out event
B. BBQ ourselves and this will be for the bigger crowd./ now we will provide most of the food but think of this as more of a pot luck. bring a specialty or drinks or plates. we will work this out later.

The Start Point And End Point
We will be meeting up at Ls1W's place at 9am, location is off the 215N and columbia ave, i will post the address when shane pm's it to me.

The Route UPDATED
So we start at our spot in riverside, drop off all the food, get everything and everyone situated and start.

here is the road we will be driving.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...,1.178284&z=10

Members And Guests
Like all of our meets, we welcome all guests, we have had some great people come out and now we extend our invitation to all our local clubs and friends and any other ls1 techer out there to come out and have a great time.

THE FOOD
well im sure you guys can imagine that buying food for this many people being expensive, and well it is. so if everyone could pitch in a few bucks and or bring some sort of side dish, utensils or drinks that would be awesome, let me know and post up so everyone doesnt get the same thing

The list This will be updated as people Rsvp, as of know its all of gm muscle a few friends i have spoken to about this.

please rsvp as the amount of people will dictate what we are doing for food.

thanks luke

An option for you all, we have a "private" park in the neighborhood where I live. Nothing special, but it's large, and has a few covered picnic tables and many of those little BBQs. With the exception of holidays, it is never crowded.

Yep, just giving you guys another option. I PM'd Luke the location. You'd probably want a better location, closer to the 243. I have a buddy who lives off of Highland Springs, but his pad wouldn't be a good location, but you could store stuff there.

I know I won't make the cruise, boss is coming in the next day and I have a big meeting scheduled with 2 prospective clients, so I'll be getting prepped for that. But I could do the BBQ and help out there.

Hmm, a really nice little road right off gilman springs I know of. Maybe a more friendly place for those of us that enjoy going straight.
