my ******* dash cracked on my way to work today. it was even ******* hot. it cracked right at the vent and to the drivers side a little. is there a way to take that whole piece off? im thinking about covering it with a nice piece of vinyl

I'd have to go look but I've seen just the top part for sale several times. it's the part near the windshield where the defroster is.

Take the passenger side A pillar off then you can pop off the top cover. Takes a little pressure so don't be too afraid it it doesn't come off real easy. Its held down by a few clips and velcro.

You are talking about the big flat part on top right? It just poped off when i had to do it on my moms car the whole swap took 10 mins.

Yea mine cracked there also... but from the heat... I didnt think it was replaceable though

yea im talking about the big piece has that has the large defroster in the middle. i didn't believe it when it happened. ive heard of them cracking in the heat but i was just driving and i heard this crack and said to myself wtf and then i noticed it.
