Default Engine swap + referee stations

Are the referee stations still closed in Cali?

If so, how would one go about doing a smog legal engine swap? Is it easier or harder than before?

That is the bad thing about the ref being closed, no engine swaps at all!! You can do it but there is no way to get a CARB sticker hence you cant get smogged and registered.

not unless you are caught in a moving violation. They will tell you to register as an off road vehicle (basically drag car) and if they caught you again on the streets then they will impound it.

Depending on the motor swap they would never know anyways! Like an LS7 into a 4th gen or something to that extent, I doubt they would know.

Yeah but for all you would have to do is have all the stickers (like the catalyst diagram) under the hood from a z28 and you'd be set.
