I say go for the LQ4, It will make power far more easily and you can spray a DECENT shot on the stock motor.
Come on you know you wan to....... As for the trans i say go with a better choice.

Well good luck on the trans choice. Upgrade to a built one if you start putting down decent power, that heavy *** car is gonna give that tranny hell ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
I gotta get mine going now that i have it.
Mine will be mated to a TH400 I already have, cruising is gonna be soooooo fun
Hopefully i can pickup the Fox i found locally, It is a pretty clean roller.

Sounds like a good plan. But i hope you run some forged pistons, and good quality rings on that thing. Cuz its not the block that gets torched... its the rotating assembly.
Me. Im just building a really reliable 4 door street car. That will beat just about any other 4 door in its class.

H/C, stock bottom end, on a 150 shot should be good for high-mid 10's all day long. They weigh 2800lbs !!

If you put down 550whp and keep the weight at 4200lbs. It could go 11.47 @ 118, with optimal traction. God that a rolling TANK right there ![Icon Lol](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_lol.gif)
Here is something to play with, Bench race status .

The Fox putting down 550whp @ 280olbs and dead hooking should go 10.1 @ 136

What trans are you going to use? Are you going to run AC? If so, are you running the stock LT1 AC compress or do you have to swap in something different?
I'm thinking of maybe doing this swap too one day. Since I have a T56, I think I can swap the input shaft from an LS1 and continue to use that trans. I'll ask my trans guy since it's at his shop right now getting some trans work done and replacing a broken clutch.
