i think my car turned into a hybrid! i reset my trip everytime i fill up, and right now it has 225 miles and the gas gage is a little past the 1/2 mark. not bad for a v8

were learning how to mask an **** i got that **** down the first day
its gona be like in november when i do cuz i need get a medical to use the paint masks an ****...so yea...

pretty damm good except that our gauges are pretty much crap, when my gas is below the half mark, if i shut the car off and turn it back on the gauge goes even lower for some reason
i only manage to get 265 to the tank....are you M6

^^ i dont really take my car long trips but i hardly see the gas gauge drop when ever i am on the freeway. and funny thing is it still pulls pretty damm good in 6th i dont need to down shift to pass cars sometimes. but its weird are cars tend to be screaming when around 3k or more while other cars are quiet at those rpms

The 4th gen.s gas tank is much wider on the top than the bottom. You get about 75% of your mileage in the first half. After you get past Half your gas starts to finish pretty quick.
hlaalu, You might get 225miles out of half tank but im willing to bet you anything that you wont get another, say even 150Miles out of the last half.
I used to drive to San Luis Obispo every other week. I was averaging around 27mph and thats considering I was getting on it a lot (couple 120+mph pulls). I would get there with right at half tank (225miles). If I drove around 75 none stop I would say Im over the 30mpg mark.
hlaalu, What gears do you have? I have 3.42's and at 80mph im around 2k rpms?
You running like 2.73's or something? You sure about the 100mph at 2k rpms?
Not doubting just much different from my car.

i live about 45 minutes north of bakersfield and my gf lives in los angeles. best i've averaged was 25 mpg. definitely not bad for a v8 i'd say. especially since i hit traffic. but i've noticed i seem to get better milage at 85 than 75. anyone else notice this, or am i just crazy? i have a 2002 SS m6 btw.

It's either you think you have the wrong gears or you don't know where the rpm is at 100mph. Maybe your tach is off. My 6spd is exactly at 2500rpm at exactly 100mph and 2000rpm at 80mph so someones' **** is off and I have Conelite on my side on this one.
