Probably M-21, M-22's are rare, doubt they even came in those cars, and are as good as gold!

Congrats! I love the 67-68 Birds, even more than the 69's! Just have such a clean front end.

Not saying they're bullet proof, but they're still hard to come by, and HIGHLY desired. I'd rather have an M-22 in my old hotrod than a T-56 ANYDAY. Think "Two Lane Blacktop".

Nice, im pretty sure the M22s did come in some 68s but im sure not many. They are far from bulletproof, mine has just a stock 400 for now. I cant wait to get it running, putting an M22 in it and converting it back to a 4 speed(previous owner installed a TH400)

thought the Firebirds were only 3 speeds? Either way. Awesome deal. im one of the very few people who likes them better than the 67-68 Camaros.

3 speed autos, 4 speed manuals.

I too like the bird alot more than the camaros. 67-68 Firebirds but the 69 Camaro is way better than the 69 bird.

its probably an m21 or a saginaw 4 speed. m22's were more commonly found in big block chevelles, not in camaros

I would not keep the handles or the marker shaved. I like the classic look.

My plans for mine are to fix up the 400 thats in it.LSX swap would be cool but I want an old school car for a while. Hows the interior. It looks just like mine did with the exception of the hood, the 400 had two scoops.

Hit me up if you happen to find a spare trunk lid, mine is rusted out due to the previous owner making a huge f*ckin spoiler out of bondo.

Also check and see what the factory motor was...your grilles and front bumper are from a 400 car, only the 400s had that metal strip on the grilles and the emblem on the center of the bumper, but the hood is not a 400 hood.
