The orginal posters car sounds like a very nice 98 WS6, that's worth real money.
The right person that wants a great 98 WS6 will pay top $ for it. Most of the market won't be that person. So it will really depend on how quickly you want to sell the car.
Example of patience even in a bad market - friend of mine got the bug for a Black LT1 97 WS6 a few weeks ago...he wouldn't even look at any other cars. He shelled out $6,800 for a 98,000 mile car with cloth seats, paint dings on the nose, rims with the wrong size tires (245's instead of 275's) and a host of other issues like a spun harmonic balancer. He was strongly considering paying $9,500 for the same car until someone (guess who) pointed out that edmunds true market value for that car "outstanding" with WS6 package was around $7,000 dealer retail and $5,500 private party. He was the right buyer for that car and that seller waited and got a very good price for a very bad car. It's not a car I'd trust as a daily driver and my daily driver is a 305,000 mile 91 RS Camaro...so that should say something about that WS6 car.

Well, I am new to this site, but not to F-bodies. I have had several 4th gens and the market is not strong right now. With the 5th gens on the horizon, I have to say that the prices for 4th gens might continue to fall slightly. I actually made a really reasonable offer of 10.5 to this owner of the 98 TA. I was going to daily drive it, since the real collectibles are the 02's. He declined to sell and I found a better deal on an 01 on autotrader. Thanks!!

Since I just bought a 01 with similar miles.... and immaculate. I wouldn't pay more than 13,500 shipped or whatever if its local. Not a penny more. Dont worry if he says no right off the bat, cause it WONT SELL. PM me if you want more specifics.
