Looks clean. I like Silverado's, but that's not a bad substitute.

Me too! But this does seem nice

You guys dont think it could pull a few sleds and the car on a few trips? My old GMC Sonoma ZR2 V6 had no problems pulling anything I ever tried, including boats, and 4 place sled trailer loaded to the UP many many times without a problem.

do you know the history of the truck? the transmissions in those trucks are known to be a weak link, needing to be replaced with as little as 85k miles. just something to think about, especially if you are going to be using it to tow with.

Yea it will pull fine, but dodge's suck bad on gas. You would be lucky to get 9mpg towing. A friend of mine has a 00 durango r/t and it only gets 12/13mpg avg.

Cummins or bust. You'll kick yourself for buying a dodge V8. They get 13mpg on the highway NOT pulling anything! You can get a Cummins with 200K and have it last 300K longer and still get 20mpg, towing something or not!
Honestly, you'd get better economy using your vette to tow your **** lol

EDIT: LOL Moderator FAIL. This doesn't belong in the Classifieds

Im not worried about gas milage, If I was I wouldnt own 2 V8s. I only work about 10 miles from home, long trips would be the only time it matters. How the tow capacity and durability.
My first choice wouldnt be a dodge either but this is an even trade and i dont want to deal with a dealer if possible, and will need a car asap when the vette goes. Ive been looking around and cant really find what im looking for in the right price range. This seems like a pretty solid truck, that looks good and will do what it need it to do.
Anyone wanna trade me a chevy or GMC?

I put it in the LT1 section because the vette is an LT1 and everyone there knows the car.

Hold onto what you've got for now. There's something better out there. My buddy had one of those and had issues with it. The tranny for one..and with 110k it could creep up on ya sooner then later. Tell you what, I will trade you my "Specialized Stumpjumper" for it. Bad *** mountain bike. http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=39220

two guys I work with have that era 1500 dodge p/u and both did very little towing like pop up campers on vacation and both had complete trans failures not covered by warranty at less than 60K miles.. .I'd check out where that truck has been and if the trans was ever serviced before I got into that... otherwise the MPG is the same for any fullsize 4x4, if you can find one a 01+ GM2500HD truck is the way to go, its relatively cheap and you can't break anything on them, 6.0 LSX motor, 4l80 trans, 14blt rears....

Are these Dodges really that bad?? It is a nice looking truck!

My GLI VW Jetta I had several years back was nice looking as well but was a P.O.S.! I called it my "Lego" car. Everything came apart with the snap of a finger. I remember my first date with an old G/F...picked her up and started driving down the street and my front bumper fell off. I threw it in the back seat and continued on with the evening. Moral of the story, don't judge the vehicle by it's looks because it could very well end up being a pile...but you seem smarter then that bro

Im mean I know this is a GM Based site but you see them 1500 rams all over the place. They also get pretty good reviews. I wonder If I went on a Dodge site if they would say the same stuff about Ford, GMC, and Chevy
For those that dont Know My vette is a 95 A4 with 176k, needs alittle work and paint if you look close
