Default what do you think this is worth thread 68 camaro

1968 camaro coupe
primer black ( horribly done too , you can tell in the picture , i actually thought it to be rattle canned )
fuel sump
mini tubbed
weld wheels
newish tires
body is good but things like the doors and fenders, hood and trunk all need to be aligned ( im picky about that and they are all off )
all the glass is good
original sb car but has a 454 with a cam and a quadra jet now , nothing fancy under the hood
new exhaust was run under the car , headers, to true duals with flowmasters
stock turbo 350 trans with a b&m shifter thats fubar
ford 9 inch rear end spool with 4.11 gears
stock suspension with slapper bars
no front grill , headlights or bumper
runs n drives
interior is completly shot, and i mean every piece basically needs to be replaced just ragged out
use to have a cage in it that was cut out and removed
does have working stock gauges
center console is junk too , front seats there but bad shape, rear seats gone
i was told the only a small bit of rust in the floor pans but its been patched before
trunks suposse to be solid as well as door pillars, a pillars, quarters and under the front windsheild
(i asked about those spots specifically)
stock hood with a blended in cowl , looks ok from the front back and sides but underneath its obvious it not a real pin on cowl hood
i feel hes a little bit high on the car and after weeks of contact with him back and forth he hasnt budged on his price.
i want the car , he wants to sell it , i want to make him a fair cash offer and not be insulting

what do you think its worth ?

Im going to try to throw a # at it , but cars are worth what someone is willing to pay. I paid 2400.00 for my 68 about 8 yrs age. It had a 305 and a crapped out TH350. The interior was pretty much shot and I had to replace 75% of the sheetmetal to get it right. I would guess the guy wants 12-15 grand for it because they are XXXXX.XX dollars on Barrett jackson. Real world I would pay 6-8K for it and feel good about it, If it is as you have stated. Whats he asking?

Yeah, of course that's site unseen and 8K would be absolute most if you just couldn't live without it. Me personally wouldn't even buy it. I'd spend more money on a nicer one because you'll end up spending more fixing one than buying one at the level you want it.

i saw the car in person about 3 weeks ago ,i know the condition everything looked , the owner wasnt there so i didnt get to see it run or turn over ect.
i did decide to pass on the car though , but only bc i felt he was asking a little too much and i found 2 67's for less then half what he wanted for this car.

hopefully ill be picking the 2 67's up in the next week
