Default 2000 ws6 m6 worth $4300?

I've been looking for a 98-02 ws6 with m6 to drive daily. Found one close to home.
specs- 2000 ws6 m6
194k
all stock, oil leak, clear peeling on hood, dent in quarter.

Sound crazy? I've got a clean 02 ws6 a4 that's original and unmolested. want to keep it that way. currently drive a Saturn daily but it's so boring, love the ws6 cars.

Price outta line?

Found out a few more issues, and ac isn't working. he's considering my 4k offer. 3500 was a definite no.

Wouldn't pay over the 4K. Car sounds really worn out.

Sounds like a potential 'money pit'. Too much mileage and you'll have too much $$ into it within a year. Then what are you going to do with a 200,000 miles car if you tire of it?? Not many buyers will be out there. Certainly none wiling to give you the $5,000+ that you have into it. Think about it.

I'd buy it for 4K, sounds like it needs about 5k dumped into it to make is nice and clean.

Im not that familiar with Pontiac or much on here yet (new to the FB and T/A) but mileage shouldn't ever be a concern. I know a guy who owns a 93 Honda Accord (don't get started on Honda please) but Ive driven it at 160k and its like new. The whole car was. Mileage isn't a basis to work off of because if its kept up just right, itll be like new.

I wouldn't pay that much either, you also run the risk of buying it (even for cheap) and having an inoperable car in a week. Probably not worth the hassle IMO

I got my 98 formula with 167k on the clock and no A/C for $4800. Got 174K on it now and I haven't had a single mechanical issue. High miles doesn't mean that it's a bad car.

I'm just looking for a dd, that way I don't have to worry about dings, dents, or hail.

I prefer cars that are easy to get in and out of, hold some cargo, can be left unattended in a parking lot without concern, and are good on gas for a daily driver.

Then on the weekend I can waste all the fuel I saved during the week by burning it through an LS1.

I agree with condition over mileage, but this thing sounds beat to ****.

Personally I wouldn't spend $4k on anything in the condition as described, OP. For that money you'd be better off finding a much better condition LT1 with closer to 100k miles rather than 200k.

well despite some opinions, I bought the dang thing. Quarter isn't too bad it'll prob push out. Ac was missing belt, threw one on it and it works fine. I think the tensioner is bad and it threw the belt, nobody ever put it back on and this guy bought it this way. Drove it home about 150 miles got 26mpg. Going to fix the oil leak and find some tires, and drive the poop outta it!

I can't stand the 97 and earlier front end, and I'd prefer the ls engine. If the motor dies you have lots of options with the different ls series engines. LT1 you've got to stick with it or change everything over.
