I sold my 95 firehawk number 599 for 3500 back in 2011. It had 74000 miles on it at the time. Was in good shape

This is build #073. Extremely immaculate. So the values are going down as years pass by?

We (F-body owners) are still in the 'down' price cycle. Once the 25 year mark rolls around, the curve should start to swing back to higher prices. That's just the way it is with cars of 'collector' value. 30k miles is certainly low but can be considered high by collectors. I am currently selling my all original trophy winning 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe with only 19,000 miles on it. If I had 30k miles on it I'd have to ask thousands less. It's dumb when the car is nearly perfect, but reality is what it is. No need to raise false hopes.
Your Firehawk (if described accurately) could bring $10,000 from the right buyer but this is the wrong time of year to be selling unless you get lucky.(the holiday season is always slow).
It's a beautiful car as you have shown in your photos. I'd love to have it. GLWS!!

NC01TA, mind if I ask how much you are selling your trophy car for? Thanks for the input.

Prices are going down because the ls1 car prices are going down. Why buy a 95 firehawk for 10,000 when there have been ls1 firehawks selling for 10,000? It's also hard to get car loans on cars that are 20 yrs old. Another thing is that 1995 had over 600 firehawks built which makes it the most common year for firehawks.

You didn't state the color of the car. Is it Patriot red? If so, one of 9 automatics is not that common. How many could be left in mint condition with 30K miles? Think of how many got run into the ground once the "better" LS-1's came out. Anything other than the usually seen bright red and black is scarce. And in my mind, any color except bright red, black, silver, and white are "flashy" and unusual. The teal green, aqua blue, etc. are colors not seen on the WS6/Firehawk. While they did make just over 600 FH's in 1995....over 400 of those are black and bright red. As I see it, 483/609 are in common or unexciting colors. That leaves 126 cars that are "unusual." And of those 126 how many are left mint? I haven't done any survivor studies on LT-1's. But considering that 2001-2002 Firehawks were heavily saved/garaged, the earlier versions are probably much scarcer, even if slightly lower on the horsepower. 1500 or so 2002 Firehawks is high as well. And what's hot in those? Pretty much just the SOM (<100 total).

I don't necessarily agree with the 25 yr "collector" curve for cars. The muscle cars from the 1980's actually stopped going down in price around 1982-1983. Many of them ran up in price from 1983-1990. So in some cases the curve can flip around early depending on the economy and other factors. We've actually seen many low mileage LS-1's hold their value or appreciate from 2012-2014. I think a lot of that was due to the reversing of the economy from 2011-2014 (ie rising stock market). The question to ask is what happens when/if the stock market turns again (some cycle charts predict from late 2015-2020 for a pretty stiff correction)? I really don't see a well kept, low mileage Firehawk like yours going under $10K if the miles stay where they are. Same comment for nice LS-1's with <30K miles. I don't see them falling under $10K. Next year a 1995 FH will fall into the 20 yr status which makes it eligible for numerous car shows. In my home state 20 yrs qualifies for "collector car" status from DMV with classic car plates available for them. A mint 1995 FH would easily qualify for low rate collector insurance ($100/yr?) if driven <3K miles per year (as long as it's not your primary vehicle).

If you see what $10K gets your for a "collector" muscle car from the 1967-1974 era right now you'd appreciate what a deal a mint, $10K, LT-1 or LS-1 actually is. I like the Mopars and $10K will get you a driving, though very rough 1968-1969 roadrunner/GTX/Super Bee project car needing $10K to $20K in work to make it nice and right. If you want a solid driving '69 - 383/440 ci 4 barrel coupe/hardtop that looks very show worthy it's $20K to $30K. $10K doesn't buy you much today....except in low mileage 1993-2002 Chevy/Pontiac/Ford muscle. And today if you want some recent used muscle like a 2009-2010 Challenger, Mustang GT, Camaro, etc. you're still over $20K for a nice lower mileage car. I'd love to own a 2009+ V8 Challenger. But they're still in the mid to upper $20's regardless of mileage. It's going to be a LONG wait before they are in the $10K to $15K range for a car with <50K miles.

I've listed it here as well in the Classifieds. https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...aerocoupe.html

6 years later, I think we can bring this one to an end.

FWIW, no unrestored car can be in "mint" condition at 30k miles, that is an impossibility unless perhaps it was only operated on a chassis dyno inside of a building, though it could certainly be considered excellent if it has always received exceptional care.
