2001 z28 124k?

Hello guys, I have a red 2001 z28 with 124k miles, a rebuilt tranny, stock, with generic alloy wheels I would assume. It has 3 big cracks in the dash and the driver side window looks like it has been caught in a razer blade storm (Scratches up and down) Also I found a little bit of yellow sludge on the oil filler cap? I've heard this is normal for an ls1 because of condensation, would make sense seeing that we have been seeing some 20 degree days and heavy snow for weeks. Also the paint needs some tlc on the front of the car, and mirrors. Everything else is tip top. He's asking 7k but I was thinking the most I wanted to pay was 5k thats what they seem to go for with that many miles and issues. Am I low balling him or am I about right. I will not overpay for a car. All opinions welcome, thank you so much!

Understood, I'll pass on that one then. I can't find any clean ones anymore. This red one is really clean inside and out just those problems. It's going to take a while but ill find a better one.

Budget on the high side is 7k, really needing to stay at 6k. I'm in Oklahoma.

Told the guy if he would fix all the issues i would give him 5500, he said "Nope" I said "I'll find another car." He must have been trying to **** me over.

You can probably find a '99 to '01 Z28 automatic with 25K miles for around $10K. Makes no sense to pay $7K for one with 125K miles....even if the car had no apparent cosmetic/mechanical flaws. The one you describe sounds like a mess with many lurking issues.
