Default 1999 Firebird Formula WS6

Found a 1999 Firebird Formula WS6 with around 19k miles. Fully loaded, excellent condition, all options possible (Monsoon, T-Tops, 3.23 gear). Supposedly 1 of 175 for that year (1999 Formula WS6). Has original window sticker, all manuals, etc.

Guy wants $25k for it. Good deal?

WS6 Formulas are much more rare than the Trans Am version, and 1999 was the lowest production year of the three years they were produced with the LS1 (1998-'00) - 175 total units, as stated above, is correct to the best of my memory.

I can see that the car has wider than stock rear tires, and a windshield banner, and some sort of modification to the front side marker. Do you know what else has been modified? Is the car mechanically stock? How does the interior, engine bay, and undercarriage look? My first impression of the car is that it presents as being in very nice (or better) condition (based on wheels, paint, nice clear fog light lenses).

It does appear to be a very well optioned car, in fact the SPID picture you posted above shows even more options than what you've listed in your original post, including the 12-disc CD changer (RPO U1S), traction control (RPO NW9), and leather seats (RPO 143) - none of that was standard equipment for this car.

In today's market, ~$25k (+/- a bit depending on local market conditions) is probably about what I would expect this car to bring assuming it's as nice, and drives as well, as it looks; probably more if it was a manual.

Like any 'used' car, it needs to be checked out, especially the ownership history. Clean title? Has the current owner had it a long time or 'flipping it'?? I really dislike the latter as you will not get a true history of the car. Sticker, manuals are all a good sign but just the beginning.
You asked if this is a good deal. I will say YES if everything checks out, especially if a one or two owner ride with maintenance records. So much flooding has occurred recently in CA and FL (hurricane) that you have to check EVERYTHING! Photos can hide that.

Beautiful car and my favorite of all the LS1 F-Bodies.

If it was blue I'd say $25k but since it's black $24,999. lol
Good luck finding another with low miles, one owner, and in this condition. They just don't pop up often. I'd want a manual but if that's not a deal killer I think $25 is a good number. I'd want to pay less but it's a nice car.

DROOLING OVER HERE...... my dream car right there (in white)
price seems about right, if it was a 6 speed id say closer to 30,000, atleast from what ive seen them sell for in similar condition.

It has an aftermarket (SLP) exhaust but seller has the original exhaust. Does have different tires and some LED's were added to the lighting. Mechanically the car is stock. Interior and engine bay are excellent condition.

Low miles, still collectable, very nice cosmetic condition, 1 of 175, black, manual, well optioned, & FireHawk. If title, history and interior check out as well then yes in today's market ~$25,000

Car looks great in those additional pictures; engine bay is well attended to and presents quite nicely. Interior is very well kept and looks beautiful. An impressive example, well worth checking out for purchase if it's what you want.

Just an FYI for reference purposes regarding the engine bay: the shock tower brace is not stock, and there are a few red zip-ties on the wiring harness between the PCM and battery area (along the passenger fender edge) that are not original, in addition to the "5.7L/LS1" emblem (that's a recent ebay item). You're probably already aware of these things, but I wanted to point them out just in case.

Definitely not a manual, and not a Firehawk. Perhaps this was posted before your morning coffee? Just some friendly humor.

Yes, I noticed those items. Nothing that can't be changed back but the strut tower brace is nice.
