i talked to him yesterday and he said the clutch may be goin out and that is why 4 gear does not work. what a tard. i am suppose to go look at it monday. He is actually a member here and asked about the trans and they all told him it needs a rebuild. i may offer him 6 if its in perfect shape. i know it has been sitting for 4 months

I paid this and I paid that is not a good comparison. Right now salvage cars are hurting due to the fact the few people can fork out that much money with out getting a loan. If the car is "mint" its worth around 7k. I wouldnt pay that for it though. I paid 7k for my Silver SS with 60k miles, brand new clutch, and full long tube magnaflow exhaust. Keep looking my friend. Oh, and it had a clean title

I paid a little over $5K for my '98 TA with a salvage title, but it's in perfect mechanical condition. Just needs some paint. I wouldn't pay over $5K if the tranny needs a rebuild for sure. Maybe offer $4500.
