All that trouble for a nitto?

J/K, it looks killer, and I'm sure will look great once the rear is narrowed. You do know what MT makes a 315/35/17 DR right?

Man that looks amazing. I would love to have that similar look just dont want to pay for the narrowed rear. Whats the plans for the old ZR1's when you get done with them? I'd be interested if you were looking to offload them.

Im aware that MT makes a 315 drag radial im assuming by the comments you don't like nitto's? This is the street setup only! Im still debating if Im going to used a street tire or a Drag radial.

The Zr1's are for sale by the owner, Unfortually it's not me! When I sold my old TT2's I got the zr1's to roll around on until I got my new wheels. PM me and I'll give you the price.

I've had both tires, and just prefer the new tread pattern MT radials over nitto DRs. They handle about the same in poor weather....the MT's do wear quicker, but not near as bad as the previous generation (older tread style). I'm just not one for having to change tires out for trips to the track, and enjoy knowing I can hook on the street/track much better than I could if I had nittos on the car.

I agree that the M/T's Hook better and Wear faster. The Idea around the track setup is because no matter what the car will not hook the same on the street like it would at the track, And In case of a flat I can't just go throw stock Backspaced wheel on and drive home so rather then spend money on another set of custom rear street wheels. I figured the drag wheels would serve a dual purpose + I don't mind the swap when heading to the track.

Sweet- I have the same plan for my car with TT2 classics(grey centers). Wish I could see the pictures...I'll be home in a few days though- I'll check them out then. I thought about running a 17x 8 up front to exagerate(sp) the look.

No, They won't "Tuck" because of the width but they will sit even with the rear qtr panel.

Tomorrow I'm heading over to speed inc to go over the measurements with Larry @ and order the new rear. 3-4 weeks is the lead time right now so I should have install pics by the end of February depending on how the weather plays out. It's cold as **** here and I haven't been motivated to head out into the garage just yet.
