Default If you could powdercoat your ZR1's any color....

I have a set of white ZR1's that I am thinking about powdercoating because a friend said since his shop is doing so well he would do them any way I want them! My car is a Red SS with a drop and my current wheels are c6 Z06 chrome spokes.......thought about black with red lip.....what would you do...?

Show pics of nice ones you have seen on a red Car...thanks!!!!!! He can even do things like black chrome...ect.

I'd considered doing a dark gunmetal or satin black (fikse FM5 color) spoke, I think both would look good with a chrome lip (more lip than a storebought black zr1 wheel due to different masking).

Does it have a grille?
- - - If so, what kind/color?

Does it have the "Berger" panel mod?
- - - If so, what color? (ex: satin, flat, gloss)

R your calipers painted?
- - - If so, what color and is it painted 1/2 tones?

There are a lot more factors that I would consider before I would make a decision.

It would help if you'd post some pics of the car...

No paint on cals...pannel is stock.. Has Black SS grill with Red SS eblem. its lowered a couple inches as well....used to have chrome zr1's 17x 11...but ran into a white set....even thought about keeping them white and doing a couple white stripes on the SS....

Will do calipers red when I put them on if that helps. Give me ideas guys.

I would do Black with a Red lip if you had the SLP grille, Berger Panel with red letters and black top......

I love this Idea!!!!! I Think I want to do black with the red lip and red calips.
I want to maybe do the red all the way into the dish up to where there wheel spokes start....then have the wheels in gloss black! I will wait til spring but it should be sweet!

This sound good? Any other ideas? I think making the red go further in will give more depth to the wheels also! This guy does good work.

Here's the only pic i had with the car lowered, black "berger panel", and gloss black wheels from the rear...

I'm also debating a red "pin stripe" on the very outer edge....like 1/8th inch thick. My friend has the whole lip done red, and it looks a bit too much.....kinda like the orange Camaro....if it were thinner, it would be that much more subtle....but it's your car.

Thanks for the compliments standard-z!! Good luck with your decision...but you saw that the 1/8 in is a bit more subtle and still catches the eye, right?

The wheels on the orange car are nice. I would do that with mine except a red stripe.

I think black with a red lip would look good on your car.

I would only do the lip as anything past that would look cheap. here is a buddies car, I think even this is too much Red.

The only time I think your idea would make sense is on a nice high line wheel
