Default Question about MT ET Streets

Well, I just ordered some 17x11 ZR1's to go on the back of my car, and I'm looking into some DR's for it. Right now, I'm running 275 Nitto DR's on my 17x9's, and I've been happy with them. They've hooked real hard, and I've got 8-9k on them, and they still have a decent amount of tread left. I'll probably end up going with 315 Nittos on the 17x11's, but I've been wondering what kind of tread life do you guys see with the 315 MT Et Streets? Because I've got it narrowed down to those two, I believe. I also though about 335 Hoosiers, but they don't look too street-friendly.

m/t radials will last half as long as the nittos but they hook a lot harder . the hoosiers are the same as the m/t's but a 335 will not fit without a BFH...

Well, I'll probably just stick to Nitto's again. I haven't had any problems hooking up whatsoever, they'll last twice as long, and they're considerably cheaper. Heck, I can get a pair of 315 Nittos shipped to my door for $340.

The only times I've ever had trouble is in temps in the mid 40's and lower, on the street. When I went to the track with them, I barely heated them up and was still dead hooking and bogging on 3k launches. That was even without my suspension mods.

With your setup I would stick with the 315 nittos, you might get 5k miles out a set of m/t, and they would be over kill for a stockish LT1.

I was always able to get my Nitto's to hook, they were 315's too. Hell, I broke two rearends on the street with them.

For a street car that sees a lot of mileage I would say the Nitto's are your best bet. I don't put more than 2K miles on my car A YEAR so I run MT's.
